stijncycles was created by Belgium designer & cyclist Stijn Deferm “The stijncycles PEG Road is a road bike focused on maximum handling performance and comfort. The use of the Small Wheel Specific Geometry resulted in aerodynamical but also in other practical advantages, usually restricted to minivelos. Excelling on winding roads and boosting confidence in tricky conditions, Peg rewards beginners and experienced riders alike with a joyous and plush ride.
Stunning Bikes Designed by a Demanding Athlete & Designer
The founder Stijn Deferm is born in rural Flanders, where he grew up (with) cycling. After racing road, cyclocross and XC at a national level, Stijn entered the mountainbike DH pro category in ‘95, riding many world cups and becoming 3-time national champion. Stijn’s background in industrial design and his bicycle expertise allows him to create innovative bicycles that make cycling more accessible, enjoyable and performant.
While creating high end bikes for other companies, Stijn also started to rework the Birdy, aka the BD-1 in Japan. This allowed him to spend time in Japan and resulted into the monocoque design which took almost 1 year to develop, working intensively with manufacturers to solve issues typical for new technology/manufacturing. In 2007, Stijn also created stijncycles – making the frames he wanted to ride but did not exist on the market as such.

stijncycles’Peg rides like no other; comfortable yet stable and stiff at any speed. It’s light, strong, performant but also very practical and stable when loaded – so it can be any kind of bicycle category.
The PEG shares the traits of a small wheeled bike’s small size and easy storage. The included travel cover provides easy travel packing. This cover also fits over the reusable carton Peg gets shipped in, turning it into a waterproof travel case. The included chain sleeve avoids greasy hands or clothes.
stijncycles Society Taiwan is managed by Thermaltake Bicycle－Bicycle Brand Agent & Distributor based in Taiwan. We welcome all stijncycles owners & fans to join our community. Here you can interact with other cycling enthusiasts; share cycling stories, and learn from experienced riders. We also host club rides, café meet ups, and new bike test-rides. stijncycles owners get reservation priority to all activities.
